1.Where are you located and when are you open?
Our office is at Laugavegur 11, the main shopping street in Reykjavi'k. There you can get all the information that you need, be it about the trips that you want to go to or just general information about Reykjavi'k. You can also book and pay for various day trips. Over the summer season (June-August) we are open from 08:00-20:30 Monday-Saturday and 10:00-18:00 on Sundays. All other times of year we are open 10:00-18:00 Mondays-Fridays, 11:00-16:00 Saturdays and closed on Sundays.
2.What shall I bring on the trip?
Depending on the type of trip you are going on, you need to take different things with you. Here is a list of things for our most popular trips:
River Fun (applies for any rafting or canoeing trip): a warm sweater, bathing suit, change of clothing and a towel
Blue Ice: Warm outdoor clothing, waterproof jacket and pants, headwear and gloves. Good hiking shoes are recommended
Fjord Serenity: Warm outdoor clothing i.e. fleece sweater and pants, change of clothing and swimwear
Into The Blue: Warm undergarment clothing i.e. fleece/wool sweater, pants and socks.
Underworld: Warm outdoor clothing, waterproof jacket and pants. Good hiking boots and gloves are recommended!
Hot Spring Hunt: Warm outdoor clothing, waterproof jacket and pants, some headgear and gloves. We do reccommend good hiking boots!!
Full Throttle: Warm outdoor clothing, waterproof jacket and pants, bathing suit, towel, a warm sweater and a change of clothing

3.What are guaranteed departures?
Guaranteed departure means that we run specific trips for a minimum of 2 people on specific days of the week during the summer months (May-September). To see which trips are guaranteed for which days of the week click here.
4.How do vouchers work?
Your voucher is a confirmation of the fact that you have paid for the trip, sobasically your ticket for the trip! It is very very important to always bring your voucher with you for every trip you go on!!!
Policy Aims:
Our mission statement is simply: “Nature is the adventure”. Through it we have tailored all our trips in such a way that they do not harm or effect the nature. We always inform all our clients of how to take part and pass through nature without leaving a mark.
Our four guidelines are:
Take nothing but pictures.
Kill nothing but time.
Leave nothing but footprints.
Make nothing but memories.
Environmental Responsibility:
When we need transport between places or transfer of luggage or supplies we offset the carbon emission through the Icelandic Carbon fund (www.kolvidur.is).
We also take part in the Icelandic Nature Conservation organization (www.natturuverndarsamtok.is ) and through them take an active part in supervision over constructions in the highlands of Iceland. The organization is puplic forum that issues statements and gives their opinion on all matters concerning construction in the Icelandic nature.
We recycle as much of our waste as possible. Both at our office, at our basecamps, in our restaurant and on tours we take all waste with us and dispose of it after the trip.
On our treks through the magnificent Icelandic nature we place a heavy emphasis on our leave no trace policy:
. Kill nothing but time.
. Take nothing but photographs.
. Leave nothing but footprints.
. Make nothing but memories.
At the start of every trip we will provide participants with information on how best to pass through without leaving their mark, so future generations can visit these special places in their natural state. Each trip has a different approach, f.ex. a cave trip and raft trip have different foucs points.
We run our own guide school here in Iceland. There we train all our own guides. Environmental matters are kind of imprinted in all Icelanders. We are the only nation that depends solely on renewable energies for heating our houses and creating electricity (no fossil fuels except for cars). The conservation of electricity here in Iceland is therefore not the same big issue as elsewhere in Europe. We also have an abundant supply of water since we have very much rain- and snowfall. In addition to that the Icelandic nature is so unspoiled that all running water in Iceland is fit for drinking, right out of the rivers and streams. Hence, bottled water is not an environmental concern, it is not used on any of our trips.
Social Responsibility:
We try to take part in every fund raiser for children in Asia and support at least one child every year to find education and food. We also give all the lost and found items to the Red Cross. We give all hot drinks away at our restaurant and instead ask people to donate some change to the Red Cross. In the same manner we ask people that use our free internet service at our store to donate to the same cause.
Economic Responsibility:
Iceland is not a country where economic responsibility is a big factor, since the nation is at the moment one of the richest one in the world. We do however try our best to use Icelandic ingredients e.g. we only use Icelandic lamb meat / salmon and vegetables.
We only use local guides, Icelanders that are passionate about their environment and its conservation.
Every single trip we operate is genially Icelandic, packed lunches are made with Icelandic ingredients such as cabin smoked lamb from Husavik and dried fish from Vestfirdir. If we dine in restaurants we eat f.ex. at Rauda Husid or Hafid Blaa, that are Icelandic seafood restaurants in the small towns of Eyrarbakki and Stokkseyri on the North Atlantic coast. All our services are performed in the countryside or highlands and we are fiercely local, using only hostels, guesthouses or hotels where we have a personal relationship with its owners and staff. These include f.ex. Frost and Fire guesthouse in Hveragerdi and under Vatnajokull glacier, Hotel Hekla and Hotel Gullfoss.

A few words about our cancellationpolicy:
10% of the price of your tour in nonrefundable, this percentage reflects our cost of booking & preparing yourtour.
If you cancel your day trip with morethan one weeks (7 days) notice you will be refunded 90% of the trip price. Ifyou cancel your day trip less than seven days before your departure you will berefunded 70% of the trip price. If you cancel your day trip with less than twodays notice (48 hours) no refund will be given.
If you cancel your multi day adventuretour or trek, including incentive trips, with more than four weeks (28 days)notice you will be refunded 90% of the trip price. If you cancel such tripsless than four weeks in advance and you will be refunded 50% of the trip price. If you cancel such trips with less than twodays notice (48 hours) no refund will be given.
The final number of participants given48 hours before any trip is undertaken is the number of participants you willhave to pay for and hence absolutely no refunds are made for cancellations made48 hours before a trip.
About travel insurance
As with any and all world travel, westrongly recommend that you buy a travel insurance policy in your home countrythat covers your cost should you have to cancel on short notice. This kind oftravel insurance is not expensive and frequently covers other risks. In general, travel insurances are a good ideato have when you are on the move in the world.
About the weather andconditions:
All adventure trips and outdooractivities are weather and condition dependent and we reserve the right tochange your itinerary or cancel your trip with your safety in mind. Please keepin mind that Iceland is and will always be Iceland, the weather changes fast onour northern island and with it conditions change. Our guides are speciallytrained to deal with changing conditions and their number one priority is tomake decisions with your safety in mind. Please be aware of this respect yourguides authority to do so. This is especially valid for winter travel inIceland. Our summer trips (excludinghigh alpine trips), operated from June through August, are very rarelyadversely affected by harsh weather.
A few words about "assumedrisk" and outdoor activities:

私たちの活動方針は簡潔に「自然は冒険である」。自然を傷つけ、影響を与えることなくツアーを組みたてています。私たちは参加者皆様にどのように自然を楽しみ、痕を残さずにはなれるかについて説明しています。

環境への責任
移動、手荷物の配送などが必要とされる場合、アイスランドカーボンファンドを通しカーボンオフセットを行っています。
また、アイスランド自然保護組織を支持し、それを通じて内陸部の建設を監視しています。
組織は公的に設立されたもので、報告やアイスランドの自然と関係した建設事業全てについて意見を述べます。
私たちはできる限りリサイクルするよう心がけています。事務所、ベースキャンプ、レストラン、ツアーにおいては全ての廃棄物を回収し、処理します。
壮大なアイスランドの自然の中で痕跡を残さない指針に重きを置いています。

全てのツアー出発前に、次の世代がありのままの自然を訪れることができるよう、参加者に痕を残さずに上手に通過する方法についてお伝えします。
それぞれのツアーは異なっています。たとえば、洞窟探検とラフティングでは目的が変わります。
私たちは独自のガイド学校をアイスランドで運営して、全てのガイドを訓練しています。
環境問題は全てのアイスランド人に教え込まれています。アイスランドは暖房や電力(化石燃料は運送用以外には使用されていません。) に関して再生可能な資源のみを利用している唯一の国民です。欧州の至る所で大きな問題となっている節電はここでは限られています。また、多雨、多雪の気候から水も十分に供給されています。アイスランドの自然は汚染されていないことから、川や、小川に流れる水をそのまま飲用することができます。ボトル詰めの水は環境的でないことから私たちのツアーでは利用していません。
特別な責任
私たちはアジアの子供たちの養育基金を支持しています。少なくとも1年に1人の子供に教育と食事を与える計画です。また遺失物に関しては赤十字に提供しています。赤十字への寄付を募る代わりに私たちのレストランで提供される温かい飲み物の収益が回されます。無料インターネットの利用に関しても同様の取り決めがなされています。
経済責任
アイスランドは経済責任が大きな要素を占める国ではありませんが、今日では世界でも有数の経済国になっています。私たちはできる限り国内製品を使用するように心がけています。
私たちは環境と保護に関心のある地元の人間をガイドとして雇用しています。
個々のツアーは愛想のいいアイスランド製品でまかなわれています。
ランチはHusavikの子羊の燻製、Vestfjordir からドライフィッシュが入っています。レストランで食事をするにしても、北大西洋に面したEyrarbakki, Stokkseyri の街にあるRaudahusid や Hadidblaa といったシーフードレストランを利用します。全てのサービスは内陸部や郊外で行われています。
私たちは地元であり、持ち主や従業員と個人的に親しいホステル、ホテル、ゲストハウスを利用します。
ツアー催行について
当社は旅行者の安全を考慮し、天候や諸般の事情により催行の中止や変更をする権利を有します。

保険について
旅行者には保険に加入されることを強くお勧めします。
天候について
すべてのアドベンチャーツアーは屋外での活動となっています。参加者の安全を考慮し当社は天候のためにツア―内容を変更、取り消すことがあります。アイスランドの天候は変わりやすく、ガイドはそれらも考量して十分に訓練されており、決定する権限を有しています。ガイドの指示に従って下さい。
含まれている危険について
当社(パートナー)により催行されているアドベンチャーツアーへの参加はすべて自己責任によるものであり、各指示に相応しく行動することが求められています。
すべての屋外活動には危険性が含まれており、当社(パートナー)は参加者各自の行動や人的制御を超えたことによる被害については一切の責任を負いません。ご予約されることにより、参加者はこれらの規約に同意したものとみなされます。ツアーによっては免責証書への署名が必要になります。
